In the Philippines, the return service agreement (RSA) compels the recipient of educational subsidy to render service in the Philippines for a specific amount of years proportional to when they had been receiving the subsidy from the government during their collegiate years. Usually, the RSA applies right after the student graduates. People bound by the RSA can opt out of the agreement by paying for the expenses paid by the government for their studies. However, not all scholars are obligated to pursue a career in the field for which their education was funded.

Queer tourism is a type of tourism that caters to and/or is designed by and for LGBTQ+ individuals. It often highlights destinations and businesses that are welcoming and affirming of LGBTQ+ identities, offering unique cultural, social, and historical insights relevant to the community. This can occur between any permutation of genders; i.e. a straight man may feel QP attracion for another man, etc. People with mutual QP attraction may choose to establish QP relationships which are committed but non-romantic. 

In status quo, religious and patriarchal upbringing put a premium on pursuing monogamous marriage via a specified progression and order of activities for romantic partners to undertake. That is, individuals first go out on dates, and then entertain more physical intimacy such as holding hands and kissing, before moving on to sexual intercourse, marriage, and eventually raising children. This is referred to as the "relationship escalator" in some relationship discourses.

Recently, the Makabayang Koalisyon ng Mamamayan (MAKABAYAN) expressed its intent to field a full slate in the upcoming 2025 Senatorial Elections. The slate will consist of candidates from the marginalized sector, including women's groups, labor unions, farmers, and fisherfolks, among others.

Known opposition figures also expressed their intent to run as senatorial candidates but under a different slate, including Kiko Pangilinan, Bam Aquino, and Chel Diokno. 

For the purposes of this debate, the "pink revolution" refers to the grassroots movement in the Philippines that supported former Vice-President Leni Robredo during the 2022 presidential elections. It centered around the concept of "radikal na pagmamahal" (radical love), which encouraged people to engage in political activism out of a deep love for the country and its people, rather than out of hatred or anger for those who are not part of the movement. Although Robredo did not win, her supporters continue the spirit of the pink revolution through various initiatives, including supporting those who campaigned for her, ongoing volunteer work, etc. A recent documentary also explores her presidential run and the pink movement's impact.

Reproductive labor refers to the maintenance and sustenance of human life and future generations. This includes but is not limited to nannies, domestic helpers, night nurses, etc.

The feminization of survival refers to the focus on women as agents of uplifting impoverished and marginalized communities. It prompts poverty-alleviation initiatives that target women as primary participants, such as microfinance, conditional cash transfers, and increased gender quotas for employment, etc.

On April 19, 2024, China has established the People's Liberation Army Aerospace Force (PLAAF), an arm of the People's Liberation Army, to support its armed forces. The Aerospace Force will focus on developing military space capacities that will support China’s overall space policy. 

After the 2021 coup in Myanmar, the ASEAN established the Five-Point Consensus (5PC), which calls for an immediate cessation of violence, inclusive dialogue among all parties to achieve peace, provision of humanitarian assistance, and the appointment and deployment of a special envoy to facilitate negotiations. Since then, Myanmar has been excluded from high-level ASEAN meetings until the 5PC has been implemented. However, in 2023, former Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin controversially met with Myanmar's military junta representatives, prompting criticism from ASEAN member states such as Indonesia and Malaysia. Following his ouster in August 2024, Srettha was replaced by Paetongtarn Shinawatra, whose government expressed recommitment to the 5PC.

The Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) is an EU policy aimed at supporting farmers and promoting sustainable rural development across the region. Initially, its primary focus was on increasing agricultural productivity and stabilizing markets, primarily through direct financial aid to farmers. However, ever since the European Green Deal—EU's ambitious strategy to achieve climate neutrality by 2050—was established in 2019, the CAP gradually attempts to align itself with the deal, aiming to make agriculture more resilient to climate change by encouraging practices that contribute to climate goals.
